My entry into the arts started with a simple course on drawing...and lots of practice. I moved into watercolour mainly for the challenge it presents.
Transforming floating pigment into a gratifying image is both magical and grounding.

Approach
My style tends to be more on the detailed side. I try to find a story in the work...either of motion, mystery or some mood that can be captured and expressed. I always start with a detailed drawing and focus on generating a tonal map that matches the composition and mood I am after. Sometimes the unexpected happens..thats watercolor...and its the discovery part that challenges my skill and perseverance. The unexpected often makes the process experience as valuable (and sometimes more valuable!) than the final result. Enjoy!
